Delta Airlines was faced with the problem of removal and replacement of old concrete panels during night hours in cold weather.

Solution:
Burns & McDonnell and Seville Ready Mixed Concrete chose a concrete mix utilizing Ultimax® rapid hardening cement. Despite the low ambient temperatures, the pavements were ready for aircraft traffic 6 hours after the Ultimax® Cement concrete was placed.
