Construction of new high-speed taxiways adjacent to an active runway with zero impact on airlines scheduling.

Solution:
Runway 07L/25R at LAX shut down nightly at 11:00 p.m. Air traffic had to resume at 7:00 a.m. This was achieved by utilizing an Ultimax® rapid hardening cement. Specifications by Howard Needles Tammen Bergendoff (HNTB). Ulitmax® concrete mixes designed by the general contractor Kiewit Pacific.
